Former President Bill Clinton makes his final step in their country of origin to help ensure functions of hosting 2022 World Cup, football's governing body will meet next month in Switzerland.
Clinton, Honorary President of the race for the U.S., the lobby of the Executive Committee of FIFA in Zurich on 1 December to bring the event in the United States for the first time since 1994.
"I am pleased to be able to endure in the name of our country as something important and meaningful to the American people and citizens across the globe, the FIFA World Cup," Clinton said in a statement Monday.
Clinton represents in the U.S. earlier this year, the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and has worked closely with the bid committee, the efforts of the U.S. government to promote the offer.
Japan, South Korea, Australia and Qatar will also seek to dismantle the World Cup 2022. Winner will be announced Dec. 2.
